ETF List

Exchange traded funds (ETFs) have gained popularity in recent years; as a result, the number of ETFs available for investment has increased considerably as well. ETF lists provide investors with a general overview of available ETF options. A list of ETFs may include only ETFs from specific sectors; for example, an energy ETF list would include only ETFs from the energy sector, and a list of ETFs in the commodity sector would include industrial, agricultural, precious metals and oil ETFs along with other commodities-based ETF securities.

General ETF lists tend to include only the largest and most important of all available ETFs; a comprehensive list of ETFs is usually too lengthy to be practical for most investors and is subject to change when ETFs enter or leave the market. As a result, the information contained in an ETF list may become outdated on the same day it is published; online information is generally updated more regularly, but still may contain errors or outdated ETF listings.
