Stocktalk - ETFs (Part 2)
This is Part 2 of a series on Exchange Traded Funds. An expert on ETFs is interviewed and provides his opinions on this market and goes on to explain how he trades with them. Exchange traded funds allow more sophisticated investors to short the market with a long stock position. There are even leveraged ETFs which allow investors to go long or short the market with 2 or even 3 times leverage. This is especially helpful to those who cannot utilize margin in an IRA account.
ETFs can be used to build a balanced porfolio by enabling investors to allocate assets to slices of the market place; including indices, geographical preferences, and even different asset classes. Additionally, they provide tax efficiency and a lower fee structure.
