Introduction to Bar Charts

The video provides a basic understanding of bar charts.  Bar charts are are typically used by short term investors and provide a quick gauge on the health of the stock.  Each bar on the bar chart represents the price range (high, low, open, and close) of a stock for the specified time interval that you are looking at.  The top of the bar represents the highest price of the day while the bottom of the bar is the lowest price of the day.  The small perpendicular line which juts out to the left represents the opening price of the period while the jut out on the right side represents the closing value of the period.
